        <td valign="top">
        <a href="http://www.cancervideos.net/video/36DU1382A94X/Mammography">Mammography</a><br />
Mammography is the process of using low-dose amplitude-X-rays (usually around 0.7 mSv) to examine the human breast and is used as a diagnostic and a screening tool. The goal of mammography is the early detection of breast cancer, typically through detection of characteristic masses and/or microcalcifications. Mammography is believed to reduce mortality from breast cancer. No other imaging technique has been shown to reduce risk, but breast self-examination (BSE) and physician examination are considered essential parts of regular breast care.

In many countries routine mammography of older women is encouraged as a screening method to diagnose early breast cancer. The United States Preventive Services Task Force recommends screening mammography, with or without clinical breast examination, every 2 years for women aged 50 to 74.[1] Altogether clinical trials have found a relative reduction in breast cancer mortality of 20%, but the two highest-quality trials found no reduction in mortality.[2] Mammograms have been controversial since 2000, when a paper highlighting the results of the two highest-quality studies was published.[3]

Like all x-rays, mammograms use doses of ionizing radiation to create images. Radiologists then analyze the image for any abnormal findings. It is normal to use longer wavelength X-rays (typically Mo-K) than those used for radiography of bones.

At this time, mammography along with physical breast examination is the modality of choice for screening for early breast cancer. Ultrasound, ductography, positron emission mammography (PEM), and magnetic resonance imaging are adjuncts to mammography. Ultrasound is typically used for further evaluation of masses found on mammography or palpable masses not seen on mammograms. Ductograms are still used in some institutions for evaluation of bloody nipple discharge when the mammogram is non-diagnostic. MRI can be useful for further evaluation of questionable findings as well as for screening pre-surgical evaluation in patients with known breast cancer to detect any additional lesions that might change the surgical approach, for instance from breast-conserving lumpectomy to mastectomy. New procedures, not yet approved for use in the general public, including breast tomosynthesis may offer benefits in years to come.

Mammography has a false-negative (missed cancer) rate of at least 10 percent. This is partly due to dense tissues obscuring the cancer and the fact that the appearance of cancer on mammograms has a large overlap with the appearance of normal tissues. </td>

Then, after you're asleep, your doctor will make a small, vertical incision in your navel.
Using a pair of small retractors, the surgeon will gently open the incision and divide the exposed tissues.
Sutures resembling a purse string are placed in the skin around the navel.
Next, a special instrument called a Hassan Trocar is inserted through the opening in the navel.
The purse string sutures are pulled, causing the skin to tighten around the instrument. This creates an airtight seal. Medical Malpractice
The team then connects the Trocar to a small hose ...

... in order to inflate the abdomen with carbon dioxide. This serves to enlarge the internal work area and to separate the organs.
They will make three or more incisions into the abdomen, with care taken to keep the openings as small as possible.
Next, the laparoscope is carefully inserted into the Hassan Trocar. Once the laparoscope is in place, it will provide video images to allow the placement of additional instruments.
The surgeon will then locate and retract the liver to identify the gallbladder.
Next, the surgeon removes the connecting tissue in order to expose the cystic duct and the cystic artery... Medical Malpractice
Using clips, the surgical teams clamps off both the duct and artery
which are later cut to prepare the gallbladder for removal. ...
Finally, any remaining tissue connecting the gallbladder to the liver is cut...
The gallbladders is moved into the laparoscopic working port
where it is taken out of the body.
Then the instruments are withdrawn...
the carbon dioxide is allowed to escape...
the muscle layers and other tissues are sewn together...
and the skin is closed with sutures or staples.
Finally, a sterile dressing is applied. </td>

        <a href="http://www.cancervideos.net/video/BWM3DBAYHN5A/Hyperthermia-Treatment-of-Skin-Cancer">Hyperthermia Treatment of Skin Cancer</a><br />
News story about using hyperthermia as a treatment for skin cancer tumor in Hudson, FL.

Hyperthermia therapy is a treatment used in battling cancer by heating tumors. The Heating is about as warm as a hot tub. Research has shown that heat can damage or kill cancer cells in some tumors while also making radiation and chemotherapy more effective.

While it has been known for hundreds of years that fevers can kill cancer, only recently has technology been developed that can control and focus heat specifically on tumors.

Local hyperthermia treatment (heat applied to a very small area, such as a tumor) is a well-established cancer treatment. Primary malignant tumors have a bad blood circulation, which make them more sensitive to changes in temperature.

&quot; Our own clinical experience and the results of numerous published studies are highly encouraging in that increased use of hyperthermia will improve the quality of life for cancer patients and improve control of cancer recurrences.

Dr. Gerald Sokol, New Hope Cancer Center, Hudson, FL.

Hyperthermia is offering our patients new hope. We are often seeing faster responses, better cancer control, and fewer side effects.

Dr. Leland Rogers, GammaWest, Salt Lake City, Utah

Hyperthermia gives us a method to treat people when there are few other alternatives. Its an additional form of treatment that can be done in difficult cases, usually without serious side effects or complications.

Dr. Steven Stroup, Centennial Hospital, Nashville, Tenn.

When the tumor is of larger size, it is unresectable surgically. Also, radiation has less effect on the center part of the tumor, which is deprived of the oxygen blood supply and the nutrients. By increasing the temperature of the tissues from 42-44 degrees centigrade, (hyperthermia) increases the circulation, increases the oxygenation, so that the radiation is more effective.

        <a href="http://www.cancervideos.net/video/UGMA414RHW8X/Appendix-Cancer-Surgery">Appendix Cancer Surgery</a><br />
Medical tourism will assist you for a qualitative appendix cancer surgery in India. Appendix cancer or appendiceal cancer is a malignancy of the vermiform appendix, accounting for about 1 in 200 of all gastrointestinal malignancies. This is a very rare condition and can vary in type, the most common type being carcinoid tumor. The treatment the doctors usually prescribe is the removal of the appendix through an appendectomy. In some cases, they perform laparoscopy, a minimally invasive surgical procedure using specially designed scopes and instruments. Cancer of the appendix rarely occurs and it is staged and treated as a colon cancer. Right-sided colon cancers often have a poorer prognosis as they present symptoms later than in other parts of the colon, but this is not often the case with appendiceal cancers. These patients usually present as if they have appendicitis and the tumor is found on ultrasound or CT and the patient goes right into surgery. If there is any possibility of spread other tests will be done to determine that. Most cancers are serious, but you need to know the stage to know how serious it is. Appendix cancer surgery in India at less minimal price would cure you of appendix cancer and appendix tumors from the most talented Indian cancer surgeons with all medically modern healthcare facilities. information entering the brain along the sensory nerve pathway passes to the sensory cortex. However, nerve branches from the pathway first send impulses to the ascending reticular-activating system or RAS, which stimulates activity and attentiveness throughout the entire cortex. The resultant outgoing information leaves the brain from the motor cortex through the motor pathway and then into the spinal cord. </td>

A three thousand year old practice is now helping breast cancer survivors. About 213,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, but with early detection and more effective treatment, more women are surviving the disease. But it often leaves the survivors stiff and weak. At Vanderbilt Medical Center doctors and therapists have a novel pilot project which helps breast cancer survivors get moving again and even possibly helps prevent the disease. Barb Cramer has the story. </td>

Edifice on premature findings certifying that breast cancer electric cells utter singular electromagnetic signalings, engineering science investigators at the University of Arkansas have found out that a single cancerous electric cell makes electrical signs proportional to the swiftness at which the cell parts. Their framework brings out that compounded motility of ions at the edge of the cancerous cell makes larger electric signals.

The determinations will aid scientists understand the biophysics affiliated with apace parting breast cancer cells and may bring to the ontogenesis of new sleuthing and handling proficiencies.

All cells keep a difference in potential between their intracellular and extracellular media, enounced Ahmed Hassan, doctorial scholarly person in EE. In other words, the bladder cancer prognosis is the chance that a patient will recover or have a recurrence of bladder cancer. Factors that affect a bladder cancer prognosis include the type and location of the cancer, the stage of the disease, its grade, and the patients age, general health, and response to treatment. </td>

        <a href="http://www.cancervideos.net/video/GS1RRKU52ON7/Renal-Cell-Carcinoma-RCC">Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC)</a><br />
Renal cell carcinoma (RCC, also known as hypernephroma) is a kidney cancer that originates in the lining of the proximal convoluted tubule, the very small tubes in the kidney that filter the blood and remove waste products. RCC is the most common type of kidney cancer in adults, responsible for approximately 80% of cases. It is also known to be the most lethal of all the genitourinary tumors. Initial treatment is most commonly a radical or partial nephrectomy and remains the mainstay of curative treatment. Where the tumour is confined to the renal parenchyma, the 5-year survival rate is 60-70%, but this is lowered considerably where metastases have spread. It is resistant to radiation therapy and chemotherapy, although some cases respond to immunotherapy. Targeted cancer therapies such as sunitinib, temsirolimus, bevacizumab, interferon-alpha, and possibly sorafenib have improved the outlook for RCC (progression-free survival), although they have not yet demonstrated improved survival. </td>
